He further added, 'It doesn’t matter what India has done before. What matters is what happens on Wednesday, during those three and a half hours. We will try our best to find India's weaknesses. That's how we win matches.'

Praising the pitch at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, he said it's a fantastic wicket for batsmen, and the toss won't have a significant impact. Concerning the hot weather and back-to-back matches, Simmons acknowledged the physical demands on players, although his team is fit and ready.

Regarding senior bowler Mustafizur Rahman's role, Simmons stated that he has started taking on leadership in team meetings and also mentoring junior players, which is very positive for the team. He clarified that the team hasn't just come to defeat Sri Lanka; they aspire to bag the title.
