The Mahindra Group has rolled out three new models of Yezdi Bikes. All eyes are on the Yezdi Adventure, which is poised to challenge the Royal Enfield Himalayan directly. Let’s delve into these models and see which stands out.

The Battle of the Engines...

The Yezdi Adventure boasts a 334cc liquid-cooled engine, giving it a powerful edge over the Royal Enfield Himalayan's 411cc oil-cooled engine, despite its higher capacity. In terms of power, Yezdi leaves the Himalayan in its wake.

The engine of the Yezdi Adventure churns out a sturdy 30.2 bhp at 8000rpm, while the Himalayan manages 24.3 bhp at 6500 rpm. Additionally, Yezdi equips you with a 6-speed gearbox compared to Himalayan’s 5-speed. However, the Royal Enfield Himalayan's engine generates a torque of 32Nm, slightly more robust than Yezdi Adventure's peak torque of 29.9Nm.

Ground Clearance, Weight, and Ride Height

There is a 11-kilogram difference between the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the Yezdi Adventure. Weighing in at 199 kg, the Himalayan feels more rooted on the road, while the Adventure weighs 188 kg. Their ground clearance and wheelbase are identical, standing at 220mm and 1465mm respectively. Taller riders might favor the Yezdi Adventure with its 815mm seat height over the Himalayan's 800mm seat height. Both bikes feature similar suspension setups, with telescopic and monoshock arrangements. However, the Adventure's front disc brake is slightly larger at 320mm compared to Himalayan’s 300mm.

Feature Showdown

Both bikes come equipped with dual-channel ABS, Bluetooth connectivity, and turn-by-turn navigation. But the Yezdi Adventure offers more ABS modes and boasts a fully digital meter console, unlike the semi-digital setup in the Himalayan. The Yezdi also features LED headlamps, giving it a modern touch over the Himalayan's halogen lights.

Price Comparison

In terms of pricing, the Yezdi Adventure secures a slight advantage. Starting at an ex-showroom price of INR 2.09 lakh in Delhi, it is marginally more affordable than the Himalayan, which begins at INR 2.14 lakh.
