In a sensational development within Karnataka's infamous sex scandal, three members of the Revanna family have been implicated. Initially, after allegations of sexually exploiting hundreds of women emerged, JDS leader HD Revanna and his elder son Prajwal Revanna became the focal point; now, similar jaw-dropping charges have surfaced against his younger son, Suraj Revanna. A party worker has accused Suraj of forcibly engaging in homosexual acts with him. Subsequent to a complaint filed at the Holenarasipura police station in Hassan, which called upon IPC sections 377, 342, 506, and 34, police custody was secured for Suraj.
Following his younger son Suraj's arrest, HD Revanna implied a conspiracy against his family on Sunday. He expressed his complete faith in God and the judiciary, indicating that the details would be disclosed when the moment is ripe. Avoiding a direct response, he elucidated, 'I shall not react now; allow the CID to investigate first. Who has said a probe should not happen? The judiciary has my utmost respect.'
HD Revanna declares, 'I will not cower before these conspiracies!'
He added, 'I am unafraid of such machinations. I am fully aware of their nature. Time will reveal all.' When queried about the identity of the conspirators, he deferred, 'That I leave to you. My son Suraj had already approached the police. The events of the recent past are common knowledge.' Suraj Revanna has also robustly denied all the allegations levied against him, having previously filed a lawsuit against the complainant.
Party worker charges Suraj with forced homosexual conduct
A JDS party worker logged a formal complaint at the Holenarasipura police station. His narration stated, 'I was summoned to Suraj's farmhouse on June 16th. Initially, our conversation was affable until the moment he placed his hand on my shoulder and began caressing my ears. Overwhelmed by fear, I recoiled as he proceeded to kiss and bite my lips. When resisted, he became irate. He warned me of my solitude on the premises and my ignorance of his clout.'

Suraj then threatened to harm him if he failed to comply, ultimately coercing him into the bedroom where the assault continued. Suraj became raunchy, even resorting to touching private parts and disrobing. Subsequently, he forcefully engaged in unnatural intercourse. Prior to this, Suraj Revanna had filed a case for blackmail against two individuals, including the complainant.

Suraj Revanna levels blackmail allegations
It is alleged that these individuals threatened Suraj Revanna with fabricated claims of sexual misconduct. The FIR stated that Suraj and Shivkumar filed a complaint against Chetan and a relative, asserting they were extorted. They accused the duo of demanding five crore rupees in exchange for silence over the manufactured charges. In this affair, accused Chetan had initially befriended Shivkumar.
'5 crore rupees demanded under the guise of defamation threat'
Shivkumar was then enticed by Chetan's narrative of financial struggles and seemingly innocuous requests for employment assistance. Following an introduction to Suraj, Chetan conveyed to Shivkumar that although he sought work at Suraj's farmhouse on June 16th, assistance was denied. Subsequently, Chetan threatened to tarnish Suraj's reputation. Moreover, he even demanded a ransom of five crore rupees as a silencing fee.

However, the victim maintained in his police statement, 'I informed Shivkumar (Suraj's aide) of the incident and vowed to seek justice. Shivkumar attempted to silence me with a two crore rupee offer. Fearful for my life, I escaped to Bangalore. I stand ready to furnish evidence supporting my allegations.' Conversely, Shivkumar accused the complainant of leveling false accusations.

Prajwal Revanna faced charges of sexual exploitation of women
Note that in the high-profile sex scandal rocking Karnataka, former MP Prajwal Revanna, who fought and lost the polls from Hassan, was taken into judicial custody until June 24th. Confronting charges of rape and abuse, Prajwal was promptly detained by the SIT upon his arrival at Bangalore airport from Germany on May 31st. After the voting in Hassan, he had traveled to Germany on April 27th.

Post the scandal’s exposure, a 'Blue Corner Notice' was issued through Interpol at CBI's behest for Prajwal. Over 2500 explicit video clips involving Prajwal with various girls have been disclosed. Police have registered three separate cases against him so far. The first is linked to a 47-year-old former maid's report of sexual abuse. In this instance, HD Revanna, Prajwal’s father and current main accused, is out on bail. The second case was lodged by CID on May 1st, in which a 44-year-old woman and JDS worker accused him of multiple rapes. The third case also concerns allegations of rape.
Sexual abuse cases filed against father and both sons
The initial case, filed in Holenarasipura, Hassan, on April 28, did not make Prajwal the primary accused but rather the secondary, with his father HD Revanna as the primary. Currently, he is on bail. The second case was registered by CID which involves a JDS female activist who has accused him of repeated rape. A third charge is an additional rape case.
