The Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded actress Kangana Ranaut for the Mandi Lok Sabha seat this time around. Fully engrossed in her election campaign, Kangana launched a fiery assault on the Congress party, particularly targeting Himachal government minister Vikramaditya Singh on Thursday in Manali. Kangana accused the Congress of relentlessly attempting to tarnish her reputation day and night. In response, Vikramaditya Singh counterattacked saying, 'My only prayer to Lord Rama is to grant her the wisdom to see the right path.'
'Congress is on tenterhooks since my candidacy was announced,' claims Kangana
In the midst of Navratri celebrations where the country is immersed in worshiping the goddess, performing rituals, and venerating young girls, Kangana stated that despite these festive times dedicated to feminine power and honor, the Congress continues its relentless onslaught of misogyny and diabolical tactics. According to her, since her name was declared, the party has taken such offense that they are preoccupied with sullying her image and attributing faults to her, without taking a break even during Navratri.
Kangana attacks Vikramaditya Singh
Hurling accusations at both Rahul Gandhi and Vikramaditya Singh, Kangana said, 'My sister Dhaneshwari mentioned that there is a big 'Pappu' in Delhi, but we also have a ‘junior Pappu’ here. He claims to have a video of me eating beef – why doesn't he show it then? He should have some proof where he saw me consuming beef. A restaurant bill, a photo, or an interview. This junior Pappu is a liar and a complete turncoat. But what else can you expect, when his senior Pappu says that we must destroy the power of the Hindu faith... the divine feminine power will be demolished. If a senior Pappu speaks like this, what can you expect from the junior?'
Kangana continued her assault by saying, 'The junior Pappu labels me as tainted and impure, suggesting that I should purify myself upon entering the sacred land of Devbhoomi. I would like to ask him what makes him think I am impure, is it because I have made a name for myself in Mumbai without the help of my father's or mother's surname, or is it because I want to enter politics? Why is he agitated by my interest in politics?'
'I have great respect for elder sister Kangana,' says Vikramaditya Singh
Himachal Pradesh Minister Vikramaditya Singh reacted to Kangana's statement by saying, 'As a candidate from Mandi for the Bharatiya Janata Party, who we greatly respect, Kangana Ranaut ji was in Manali today. The language and words she used, especially for us, the Congress party, and for Himachal Pradesh, to that, I bow down humbly.'
'Let's talk facts, it would be better'
Vikramaditya Singh said, 'This style of language has never been used in a holy place like Himachal. Anyway, it would have been better if she had discussed the issues of Manali... Remember the disaster that struck Manali, Mandi, and Himachal not so long ago, and you claim to be from Manali... Were you present even for a day during that disaster? It would be better to discuss these factual matters.'
'May Lord Rama grant you wisdom'
He concluded by saying, 'We respect you greatly but let me assure you that the people of Himachal Pradesh are not concerned with what you eat or drink in Mumbai... These are not issues of Himachal. As you are a BJP candidate from the Mandi parliamentary constituency, please, discuss real issues. Specifically, with the blessings of Lord Rama, whom we paid homage to in Ayodhya on January 22nd, my prayer is for him to bestow upon you good sense. I wish you all the best on your campaign trail. Warm wishes, Jai Hind, Jai Himachal, Jai Shree Ram.'
