Woman and Brother-in-law Sentenced to Life for Husband's Murder

The court sentenced a woman and her brother-in-law to life imprisonment for the murder of her husband in Gurugram, Haryana, near Delhi. Police reported that the woman, with the help of her cousin, orchestrated the killing. Additional District Court Judge Tarun Singal imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 each on the convicts.

According to the news agency, the woman and her husband's cousin were found guilty in November 2019. Police confirmed that Sandeep was shot on a road leading from Sihi village to Dwarka Expressway. Despite being taken to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.

Sandeep's brother filed a complaint alleging that Sandeep's wife, Jyoti, and Sachin shot and killed him. Following the complaint, a murder case was registered at Sector 37 Police Station.

The Gurugram police arrested the accused and presented all evidence in court. Several witnesses testified during the trial. On Friday, the Additional District Court Judge sentenced both accused to life imprisonment and levied a fine.
