On February 24 last year, Umesh Pal and his two protectors, Sandeep Nishad and Raghavendra, were shot dead. Jaya Pal, Umesh's wife, filed a case against Atique Ahmed, his brother Ashraf, wife Shaista Parveen, their two sons, associate Guddu Muslim, Ghulam Mohammed, and nine others. Shaista Parveen has been missing ever since she was implicated in the case. The police have even announced a reward for information leading to her capture.

It's noteworthy that Afshan Ansari has been charged with illegally occupying land in Ghazipur, Mau, and even Lucknow, leveraging influence to seize government property for financial gain. She's also facing charges of coercive land registry.
