In Washington, D.C., hundreds of protesters gathered on Saturday, joining the significant 'Remove the Regime' rally to boldly demand the impeachment, conviction, and removal of President Donald Trump. This event was organized by the grassroots group, Removal Coalition.
The rally saw attendance from notable figures such as Texas Representative Al Green and former police officer Michael Fanone, along with performances by popular band Dropkick Murphys and artist Earth to Eve, infusing energy and enthusiasm into the crowd. After the event, protesters marched along the iconic National Mall.
Former Metro Police Officer Michael Fanone, present at the rally, commented, 'The majority of Americans are no longer willing to be ignored. We are fed up with this administration.'
On the other hand, U.S. Representative Al Green announced during the rally that articles of impeachment against Trump would be filed before Christmas. He stated, 'Conditions are not improving. They are worsening. We must convict, impeach, and remove him to send a clear message to any potential future authoritarian leader: they must not think of seizing control of government.'
This rally is seen as another significant expression of growing discontent against the Trump administration, with protesters clearly stating their desire for change and dissatisfaction with the current direction of the administration.
