You've likely heard of the love story between Seema Haider from Pakistan and Noida's Sachin Meena. A similar tale has emerged from Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. While this couple didn't cross national borders, they did redefine boundaries of love. The woman met a young man online and fell deeply in love, ultimately leaving behind her five children and husband to move to Gujarat with her lover. When the matter reached the authorities, she expressed her desire to remain with her lover, saying she was weary of her husband's mistreatment.

A 32-year-old woman from a remote village regularly posted dance reels on Instagram, amassing thousands of followers. During this social media journey, she met folk singer Bhima Ram, and their connection blossomed into love. Despite having five children, she left her husband and settled in Gujarat with her new partner.

According to police reports, Nemi Devi, from the village of Kita in Jaisalmer, was married 15 years ago to Narana Ram Bhil of Gaje Singh's clan, in the Jhinjhiniyali police station region. Nemi Devi, now 32, never attended school.

She gained over 40,000 followers by posting dance reels on Instagram. During this time, she met Bhima Ram, a local singer. Their friendship quickly turned into affection, leading to an affair lasting a year and a half.

The pair decided to live together, prompting Nemi Devi to leave her in-laws' home under the guise of errands. Her sudden disappearance led her husband to file a missing persons report at the Jaisalmer Sadar police station. On Monday, Nemi Devi presented herself at the women's police station in Barmer district headquarters with her partner, Bhima Ram, whereupon Sadar Jaisalmer police were informed.

Woman claims: Husband was abusive, leaving her fed-up

Nemi Devi stated that though she has five children, her husband was abusive and suspicious, making her life unbearable. During this trying period, she connected with Bhima Ram on Instagram, and they decided to live together. She now intends to marry him and live happily away from her husband's torment.

Bhima Ram revealed they exchanged phone numbers after chatting on Instagram, leading to love. They moved to Palanpur in Gujarat to live together. After their families filed missing persons reports, they thought it best to come forward. Their statement was recorded by head constable Jagdish Dan of Jaisalmer Sadar police station, who allowed them to proceed with their plans.
