Nicolás Maduro, the President of Venezuela, issued a stark warning to the United States. He stated, 'If Trump touches Colombia, consider it as touching Venezuela.' Maduro stepped up to defend Colombia amidst threats from President Trump, declaring that Venezuela and Colombia are, at heart, one nation.
Standing firm, President Maduro asserted that Venezuela and Colombia are unified. 'Colombia knows that we are one,' he firmly stated. 'What happens to Colombia impacts Venezuela, and vice versa.'
Strengthening his message, Maduro referenced a letter from a Colombian military officer received two weeks earlier. The officer wrote, 'Touching Venezuela means touching Colombia.' Maduro emphasized, 'In essence, we are one nation at heart.'
'U.S. Attacks Resemble Judicial Killings...'
Experts from the United Nations have highlighted that U.S. attacks on Venezuela in international waters are tantamount to judicial killings. An independent expert group from the UN pinpointed these attacks as alarming escalations on Tuesday.
Recently, U.S. President Donald Trump ordered assaults on roughly six suspected drug vessels in the Caribbean, resulting in at least 27 casualties.
'We Will Not Succumb to Pressure...'
Venezuela had previously warned the US about naval constructions. President Maduro proclaimed that Venezuela confronts its greatest threat from America but assured that his administration will not cave under external pressure. Speaking at a press conference in Caracas, Maduro accused Washington of escalating tensions through aggressive military deployments in South America.

Maduro declared that the deployment of U.S. naval forces in the southern Caribbean poses the most significant challenge of the century to the region. Maduro told reporters, 'Venezuela is facing the greatest threat our continent has seen in the last 100 years. This is unprecedented.'
The Venezuelan leader accused that 'eight American warships equipped with 1200 missiles are stationed near Venezuela's territorial waters,' describing it as a completely criminal and dangerous threat.
