The rising star of Indian cricket, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, is on a roll with his explosive form. In the DY Patil T20 Cup, before IPL 2026, he delivered a blistering half-century in just 14 balls on February 26.
Playing for DY Patil Blue against the Indian Navy, Vaibhav pursued the 220-run target with an aggressive approach from the start. He made his intentions clear by scoring 16 runs off 4 balls in the very first over. Reaching 43 runs in just 12 balls, he hit a six and a four in the fifth over to complete his half-century in a mere 14 balls.

Even after this, his onslaught continued. After hitting another six, he scored 63 runs in just 19 deliveries before getting out. In this whirlwind innings, he struck 7 boundaries and 5 sixes, maintaining a stunning strike rate of 331.58. The opposing team was stunned.
Arjun Tendulkar was also brilliant
For DY Patil Blue, Arjun Tendulkar exhibited an all-round show. Scoring an unbeaten 55 runs in 29 balls, including 7 boundaries and 2 sixes, he also claimed one wicket while bowling. Arjun was awarded Player of the Match. This talent will feature in the IPL with Lucknow Super Giants. It was Arjun who hit a six on the first ball of the 20th over leading his team to victory.

Vaibhav has already made his mark
Vaibhav came into the spotlight when he smashed a century off 35 balls against Gujarat Titans during IPL 2025. At just 14 years and 32 days old, he became the youngest centurion in league history, marking the fastest IPL century by an Indian.

Vaibhav's dominance at the U-19 level
Even at the youth level, his performance has been extraordinary. Over 25 youth ODI matches, he amassed 1,412 runs at an average of 56.48, with an aggressive strike rate of 165.72, including four centuries and seven half-centuries. His highest score of 175 runs in the Under-19 World Cup final, which India won, came in just 80 balls.

In youth Test cricket, he has scored with an average of 33.1 and a rapid strike rate of 136.77 in six matches, leaving the most significant impact in the T20 format. His T20 stats speak for themselves.
