On Monday evening, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host a dinner in honor of U.S. Vice President JD Vance and his wife, Usha Vance, of Indian origin. Prior to this, discussions on trade, tariffs, and other significant matters will take place between Prime Minister Modi and the U.S. Vice President, as informed by sources on Saturday.
Vance Family to Explore Jaipur and Agra
U.S. Vice President JD Vance, accompanied by his wife Usha and their three children, Ivan, Vivek, and Mirabel, will arrive at Palam Airbase at 10 AM on Monday for a four-day visit to India. They will be welcomed by a senior minister from the central government.
The Vance family plans to explore not just Delhi, but also Jaipur and Agra. Reports suggest that at least five senior officials, including those from the Pentagon and the State Department, will join Vice President Vance on this visit to India.
Visit to Akshardham Temple
A few hours upon their arrival in Delhi, Vance and his family are scheduled to visit the Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple. There is also a possibility that they might shop for Indian handicrafts at a nearby shopping complex.
At 6:30 PM on Monday, PM Modi will host discussions with JD Vance, focusing on finalizing the proposed India-U.S. bilateral trade agreement and strengthening relations between the two nations.
PM Modi to Host Dinner
The Indian delegation will include Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, and India's Ambassador to the U.S., Vinay Mohan Kwatra. Post discussions, PM Modi will host a dinner for the U.S. delegation. The same Monday night, Vance and his family are expected to head to Jaipur.
