Neilesh Rai from Ghazipur, who was preparing for the UPSC exams in Delhi's Patel Nagar, lost his life due to an electric shock. He had been preparing for the civil service examination for three years and had successfully passed the preliminaries in his third attempt. The deceased's grandmother mentioned he had completed his B.Tech from Bangalore and was working while preparing in Delhi. The family demands action against those responsible for this tragic incident.
Neilesh's father is a lawyer in Ghazipur, while his mother is a high school teacher. His grandmother is the village head. He was the sole son, with two sisters - one of whom is married and the other lives in Ghazipur. Neilesh had been living in a PG in Patel Nagar for about three years to prepare for the civil service examination.
The grandmother mentioned Neilesh was an excellent student. After completing B.Tech, he worked in Delhi while simultaneously preparing for UPSC. On Monday afternoon, he went out to buy something from the PG and was returning when he touched the colony gate to avoid the rainwater on the street. An electric current was running through the gate, and he was electrocuted. His hand got stuck to the gate, and his feet were in the water. An overhead web of electric wires was seen near the gate. Consequently, the family demands action against responsible electrical department employees for this mishap.
