An award of 100,000 rupees has been declared by the ADG for Samajwadi Party leader Gulshan Yadav from Pratapgarh, UP. This move came on the recommendation of SP Dr. Anil Kumar. Gulshan Yadav faces a total of 53 criminal cases, which include serious charges like attempted murder, extortion, robbery, and the Gangster Act. These cases have been filed in various police stations across Pratapgarh and Prayagraj. Gulshan has been on the run for over a year, and the police are actively searching for him.
Properties Worth Millions Seized
Even before the reward announcement, police had already seized several of Gulshan Yadav's properties. According to police sources, assets worth over 70 million rupees have been confiscated to capture wealth acquired through illicit activities.
Notably, Gulshan Yadav has been a prominent figure since standing against MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh, also known as Raja Bhaiya, in elections. Despite the electoral defeat against Raja Bhaiya, the political rivalry intensified tensions with a flurry of political repartees.
