Seema Haider, residing in Greater Noida, UP, is once again in the news. This is due to the significant step taken by the central government against Pakistan, ordering Pakistani nationals to leave India. Amidst this, the main focus is on Seema Haider, who illegally crossed from Pakistan to India but now declares, 'I was a daughter of Pakistan, but now I am an Indian daughter-in-law. Please let me stay here.'

On the other hand, UP DGP Prashant Kumar stated that actions to repatriate Pakistani nationals have been swiftly executed across all 75 districts of the state. The DGP mentioned that all Pakistani citizens in the state have been returned to their homeland. Currently, only one Pakistani remains, who is set to return on April 30.

Meanwhile, AP Singh, a lawyer claiming to be Seema Haider's brother, states that her citizenship documents are pending with the Indian government and the President. A final decision is awaited. Lawyer AP Singh mentioned that no notice for Seema to leave India by April 30 has been received. He explained that the three children Seema brought from Pakistan are from her first Pakistani husband, from whom she is now divorced. Seema Haider is their sole custodian, and for the children's safety, it’s mentioned in her petition for citizenship with the President and the Supreme Court that the children should remain with her.

Lawyer’s Arguments

Seema married under Hindu customs in India.

She is divorced from her first husband in Pakistan.

She is the sole guardian of the children from her first marriage.

Now, she is the wife of an Indian citizen and mother to an Indian daughter.

Her citizenship documents are under review by the Indian government and the President.

A Love Story Born in PUBG

Seema Haider hails from Sindh, Pakistan, with a story akin to a movie script. In 2019, while playing PUBG, she came in contact with India's Sachin Meena. Their friendship blossomed into love, without Seema even realizing. In 2023, she decided to leave Pakistan, entering India illegally through Nepal with her four children. In UP’s Gautam Buddha Nagar district, in Rabupura, she started living with Sachin Meena. There, they married according to Hindu customs. Recently, their bond strengthened with the birth of a daughter, named 'Bharti Meena.'

The Center’s Directive and Seema’s Fear

After a cowardly terror attack in Pahalgam, J&K, on April 22, the Indian government took a firm step by cancelling visas of Pakistani nationals, ordering them to leave by April 30. With this directive, Seema Haider’s concerns rose. In a viral video, she made an emotional plea to PM Narendra Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath, 'I don’t want to return to Pakistan. I'm an Indian daughter-in-law now. My child was born here. Allow me to stay in India.'

UP Government’s Swift Action

Under the directives of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, UP DGP Prashant Kumar stated that a state-wide operation across all 75 districts ensured the return of Pakistani nationals. He reiterated that according to CM Yogi's vision, all Pakistani citizens in the state have been sent back. A local police team accompanied them to ensure their return. As it stands, only one Pakistani remains, scheduled to leave by April 30.
