During a program in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath strongly criticized the opposition, accusing them of inciting violence over the Waqf law in Murshidabad, West Bengal. He mentioned that three Hindus were brutally murdered after being dragged from their homes in Murshidabad.
In a state workshop organized under the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Respect Campaign in Lucknow, CM Yogi Adityanath addressed BJP leaders, saying, 'Violence is being instigated over the Waqf law. In Murshidabad, three Hindus were dragged from their homes and brutally murdered. Who are these people? They are the same Dalits and underprivileged individuals expected to benefit from this land. Once this land appears in revenue records, even the poor will be able to benefit from high-rise buildings and receive good flats.'
'Opposition in Fear'
He targeted the opposition, stating that they fear losing their vote bank if the poor are awarded high-rise building homes, which is why they are inciting violence.
Mentioning the CAA, he said, 'If a Hindu is persecuted anywhere in the world, they will turn to India. However, parties like Congress, SP, and TMC have always been obstacles in their way. These parties consistently work to treat them as secondary citizens, keeping them refugees, but the BJP has embraced them. Similarly, these people are inciting violence over the Waqf amendment law.'
'Attempts to Create Chaos'
CM Yogi stated that threats are being made and efforts to create disorder continue because they fear that the revenue acquisiton of this land may grant the poor access to hospitals. Medical colleges and good education centers will emerge, offering children from underprivileged communities better learning opportunities. These individuals do not want the program to advance.
