UP Board 10th-12th Exam 2025 Postponed, New Date:
Students preparing for the UP Board Exams 2025 have received a significant update. The exams for 10th (High School) and 12th (Intermediate) scheduled for February 24 in Prayagraj have been postponed. Gulab Devi, the Secondary Education Minister, has released a notice with this information along with announcing the new exam dates.
Previously, exams were to be conducted in two shifts on February 24 (from 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM and from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM). The exams included subjects: Preliminary Hindi and Healthcare for 10th grade, and Military Science, Hindi, and General Hindi for 12th grade. They have now been postponed.
Why Were UP Board Exams in Prayagraj Postponed?
The 10th-12th board exams on February 24, 2025, were postponed due to the Mahakumbh. Over 540 million devotees have already taken part in the spiritual baths at Sangam. The Mahakumbh has led to severe traffic congestion in multiple areas. Consequently, students preparing for the board exams were worried about reaching the examination centers in Prayagraj on time due to the traffic jams. This decision has likely given the students a sigh of relief.
When are the Examinations Rescheduled?
A notice from Ashok Kumar, Joint Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Department, provides details on the rescheduling of the exams. These exams will now be held on March 9, 2025. However, there’s no change in the timing; the exams will occur in the same shifts as previously determined.
