Major Success for UP ATS: Arrests in Aligarh on Intrusion Charges

Uttar Pradesh ATS has detained Bangladeshi national Siraj and his wife Halima in Aligarh. Siraj, from Faridpur district in Bangladesh, used brokers to enter India and create fake documents. They've traveled using Indian passports.

The Uttar Pradesh ATS has made a significant arrest, detaining Bangladeshi national Siraj and his wife Halima in Aligarh. Siraj hails from the Bhanga area in Faridpur, Bangladesh.

According to reports, Siraj entered India by crossing the Benapol Border with the help of brokers. After entering, he managed to obtain Indian documents and passports, allowing him to travel to Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, and Dubai. His wife Halima used an Indian passport to visit Bangladesh multiple times.

During the investigation, Siraj confessed that he and Halima crossed the border into India assisted by brokers. They lived in Aligarh, initially claiming to be residents of West Bengal with the help of a local Bangladeshi contact named Pappu.

Traveling to Bangladesh Using Indian Passports

With Pappu's assistance, they obtained fraudulent documents. These documents enabled Siraj and Halima to open bank accounts and acquire Indian passports. Four months ago, they traveled to Bangladesh using these passports.

The ATS has charged Siraj and Halima under IPC sections 318 (4), 336 (3), 337, 339, 340 (2), and the Foreigners Act, sections 14 and 14(A). The ATS also confiscated 1 mobile phone, 2 Indian Aadhar cards, 2 Indian voter ID cards, 2 Indian PAN cards, 2 ATM cards, 2 Indian passports, 1 Bangladeshi passport copy, 1 Bangladeshi birth certificate, and ₹1,250. This operation marks a major achievement for the Uttar Pradesh ATS.
