SDM Kriti Raj from Firozabad, UP, is the talk of the town for her clandestine scrutiny of a government hospital that revealed numerous deficiencies. During the inspection, she daringly visited the hospital disguised as a veiled patient. Her video has gone viral on social media, triggering a response from Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Brajesh Pathak.
'An IAS officer has unveiled the deficiencies in your department...'
In response to this comment, Brajesh Pathak commended the SDM for her positive raid, claiming that such initiatives are supported by the government. He himself frequently makes surprise inspections and applauded the SDM for her commendable work.
Pathak spoke about taking action against the negligent hospital officials and staff. To note, Brajesh Pathak was at the hospital for an inspection in Sitapur followed by the unveiling of a statue for former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
'She went incognito under the veil'
Prior to this, IAS officer Kriti Raj had reported complaints about the community health center in Deedamai which was neglecting patients waiting since 10 AM for anti-rabies injections but found the doctors absent, leading to chaos. Wanting to uncover the truth, she arrived at the hospital undercover.
Disguising herself with a veil, she lined up to register and entered the doctor's chamber. There, she found the doctor's behavior to be improper. Additionally, checking the attendance register revealed that many employees were missing. Some had signed in, but were not actually present.
