August 15, 2025, marked a significant date, as global attention focused on the talks between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska regarding the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Hopes were high for an end to the three-year-long war, but the conflict persists. Trump remains committed to working tirelessly toward peace.

In a message to NATO allies, Trump called for a halt to oil imports from Russia and proposed a substantial tariff of 50 to 100 percent on China until the Ukraine-Russia war reaches a resolution. These restrictions, he argues, will be lifted once peace is achieved. China's strong control over Russia will be challenged by these robust tariffs, potentially undermining its influence.

Emphasizing the urgency, Trump declared his readiness to impose wide-reaching sanctions on Russia. He stressed the necessity for NATO countries to cease oil purchases from Russia, as doing so diminishes their negotiating and pressure capabilities.

He warned that failing to take this action risks wasting America's resources—time, money, and energy. Hence, it's imperative to impose firm sanctions on nations in support of Russia.
