Ex-Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Trivendra Singh Rawat, has been fielded by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from the Haridwar Lok Sabha constituency. Four years post his removal from the Chief Ministerial post, he once again set foot into the party office to a warm reception by the activists.

When asked by journalists at the party office about the past four years, former CM Trivendra Singh Rawat gave an engaging response. He mentioned that his political exile offered him an opportunity for introspection.

It is noteworthy that the BJP has nominated former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat for the Haridwar Lok Sabha seat. Just as he was marking his fourth year in office, he was removed from his post by the party high command. Since then, Trivendra Singh Rawat had been on the sidelines within the BJP, but he has now been given another chance. Following his candidacy announcement for the Lok Sabha elections, he visited the BJP state office and spoke with the media.

Responding to the media's questions, Rawat said, 'These four years have provided me with profound lessons. Lord Ram spent his exile with the forest dwellers, and without that period of exile, the idea of Ram Rajya could not be conceived. Similarly, I have learned a lot during this time.'
