Amidst the Diwali festivities, a shocking accident involving a Jaguar car has left the city of Prayagraj in shock. The tragic incident resulted in one fatality and left six others with serious injuries. There's a significant update as police filed a named FIR after previously recording an unknown one. The accused, Rachit Madhyan, is the son of a well-known businessman in the city. The cause of the crash has also been revealed.

Rachit Was Anxious After Match Defeat

Investigations from the police indicate a surprising cause behind the accident. Reports claim that the driver, Rachit Madhyan, was returning after a cricket match. After suffering a bitter loss, he was anxious, leading to loss of control over his high-speed Jaguar.

At the time of the accident on October 19, eyewitnesses estimated the car's speed at around 100 kilometers per hour. The high velocity, combined with stress, unleashed havoc on shoppers during Diwali in Rajroop Pur.

Businessman's Son, Doctor's Son-in-Law

The driver responsible, Rachit Madhyan, is the son of a prominent businessman who runs a renowned sweet house in the city. Residing in the Khuldabad police jurisdiction, he is an LLB graduate, a cricket team captain, and married to a respected doctor's daughter. The accident claimed the life of a 60-year-old individual and left about half a dozen others injured.

From Unknown to Named FIR

According to DCP City Manish Sandilya, police initially filed the case against an unknown based on the vehicle's number plate found at the site. However, following the victim's family's complaint, Rachit Madhyan's name has been added to the FIR. It was confirmed that Rachit was driving during the accident and was injured himself. He has been referred to Lucknow for advanced treatment. The Jaguar accident also damaged two cars, three two-wheelers, and a bicycle.
