A devastating road accident in Mau, Uttar Pradesh claimed the lives of two individuals, leaving another seriously injured. The incident resulted from a head-on collision involving two motorbikes.
According to a news agency report, the police revealed that Bechu, a 45-year-old resident of Kundwa Bar Purwa village, was heading towards Tarwadi Chowk with his 18-year-old son, Ram Ashish. During this journey, their motorcycle collided with that of 22-year-old Ravi Kumar, coming from the opposite direction.
The collision was so intense that Ram Ashish and Ravi Kumar succumbed to their injuries on the spot, while Bechu was left critically hurt. Local residents swiftly alerted the authorities and ensured the injured received medical attention at the hospital.
Bechu, who was injured in the accident, was referred to the district hospital for advanced treatment following initial care. Inspector in charge of Haldarpur station, Jagdish Prasad Verma, confirmed that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem and an investigation into the matter is underway.
The police are also attempting to ascertain whether high speed or any other factors contributed to the tragedy. Families of the deceased are devastated by the incident, and the local community is shocked, urging authorities to enforce strict traffic regulations in the area.
Residents of the community are demanding stringent implementation of traffic laws to prevent such grievous incidents in the future.
