An unfortunate event unfolded today in Rajkot, Gujarat, during the Holi festival. A fierce blaze in a high-rise building has resulted in three fatalities, with approximately 30 individuals still trapped. Rescue efforts are underway to safely evacuate them.

Reports indicate the fire broke out on the sixth floor of the Atlantis Building located on 150-Feet Ring Road. Over 30 people are feared trapped inside, and sadly, the blaze has claimed three lives so far, with several others possibly injured.

The alert was raised by witnesses who promptly informed the police and fire department. Emergency units swiftly arrived at the scene, working tirelessly to control the fire.

The rapid spread of the fire left the upper-floor occupants stranded. Rescue operations are leveraging cranes and ladders to ensure a safe evacuation.

Witnesses recounted that the fire filled the building with smoke, causing panic and trapping many inside. Calls for help echoed from windows and balconies.

Rajkot ACP BJ Choudhary assessed the situation, ensuring that multiple fire trucks are dedicated to extinguishing the fire. BJP leader Darshita Shah emphasized that authorities are fully prepared and victims are receiving immediate medical attention. Investigations into the cause of the blaze are currently underway.
