In a tragic incident on Tuesday afternoon in Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh, two agricultural laborers lost their lives to an electric shock, while two others suffered severe burns. This unfortunate event occurred in Rosara village under Udaipura tehsil during the task of planting rice in the fields.
According to police reports, the victims have been identified as Ram Mohan Ahirwar (18) and Omkar (26). The incident happened when Ram Mohan entered the field to chase away some stray cattle. At that moment, an electric wire from the water pump had spread current through the entire field perimeter, and Ram Mohan got electrocuted. Three other laborers who rushed to save him also received electric shocks.
Jaswant Singh, the police station incharge, stated that Ram Mohan and Omkar died instantly from the shock, while the other two severely injured laborers were quickly rushed to the civil hospital for treatment. Their condition is reported to be critical. The village mourns this incident, with locals questioning the administration over electrical negligence.
