In a shocking incident in Hamirpur, Uttar Pradesh, a family argument spirals out of control, leading to the husband taking his own life with a firearm. The altercation, which began over the wife's insistence on visiting her parents for the sibling-centric festival of Bhaiya Dooj, resulted in immediate fatality for the man and injuries to their son. Authorities have since taken custody of the remains for forensic examination, casting a shadow of grief over the family's festivities.

According to local sources, tensions in the Rath township residence escalated when the wife expressed her desire to visit her parental home. In a fit of anger, the husband used an illegal firearm and inflicted a deadly wound upon himself. During this tragic event, their son rushed to intervene and was wounded by shrapnel.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the police arrived on scene and recovered a 315-bore illegal firearm. The body was secured for post-mortem, and legal proceedings are underway.

Local resident Satyam Soni disclosed that his uncle, Sonu Soni from Orai, visited their home for Bhaiya Dooj with the intention of inviting his mother, Guddi, to join him. His father, Ramhet alias Raju Soni (48), refused to let her accompany. Following the uncle's departure, a fierce dispute broke out within the family walls.

The husband fires upon himself.

The discord reached its peak around five in the evening when the husband, inflamed by the argument, threatened to commit suicide with a firearm at hand. As Satyam recounts, his elder brother Shivam Soni (22) strove to save their father, but before he could, their father had tragically ended his life. Shivam also received injuries to his face from the gunshot shrapnel and was admitted to a local health center before being referred to a medical college in Jhansi by Dr. Akhilesh Kumar. Ramhet alias Raju Soni, the deceased, operated an artificial jewelry store.

Local authorities, including CO Dilip Kumar Singh and Kotwal Umesh Kumar Singh, investigated the scene at the health center. They confirmed that the deceased had been sent for post-mortem and that the son is receiving treatment. The incident appears to be the result of a domestic dispute.

The wife, seeking solace, was with her sister-in-law at the time of the event.

Following the domestic tension, the wife went to her sister-in-law's house. It was there she relayed her troubles when her husband enacted the final and fatal act.
