Abrar showcased excellent performance in Pakistan’s group stage match against the UAE by claiming two crucial wickets for just 13 runs. Despite an average outing against India, where he secured one wicket for 42 runs, he bounced back with notable spells against Sri Lanka, taking one wicket for merely 8 runs, significantly contributing to stabilizing Pakistan's Asia Cup campaign and guiding them to victory.

However, securing the number one rank is no easy task for Abrar; Varun Chakravarthy continues to excel in UAE conditions, reinforcing his position with a 14-point lead. Even in matches against Pakistan, though wicketless, his economical spell of 0/25 played a key role in restraining the run rate.
