His family, in utter despair, state that he had traveled to the West Indies with former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan, a commentator for the T20 World Cup. Pathan is bearing the expenses to repatriate his remains. The news of Fayaz's demise has left his family in profound grief.
Originally from Nagina tehsil's Kazisarai in Bijnor, Fayaz Ansari worked as a makeup artist in Mumbai for many years. He owned a salon there. One day, former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan visited his salon which led to an acquaintance between the two and ultimately Pathan appointed Fayaz as his personal makeup artist. Thereafter, he often traveled with Pathan abroad.
According to Fayaz's cousin, Mohammad Ahmed, the current T20 World Cup 2024 is taking place in the West Indies and America. The Super Eight matches are being held in the West Indies. Irfan Pathan is there for the commentary. He had taken Fayaz Ansari with him. The news of Fayaz's death emerged on Friday evening when he drowned in a hotel swimming pool. This news has plunged his family into chaos.

As per Mohammad Ahmed's statement, Fayaz Ansari's marriage took place merely two months ago, and he had gone to Mumbai from Nagina Bijnor just eight days prior. The sudden calamity has left the family reeling with his wife and relatives in a state of unconsolable mourning.
He explained that Irfan Pathan is preparing to bring the body back to India after completing all formalities in the West Indies. Once Fayaz's remains arrive, the family will go to Delhi to receive him. This process is expected to take around three to four days. Meanwhile, preparations for the burial are being made in his village.
