When Vehicles Were Towed, Staff Attacked with Blades; Accused Paraded by Police

Adjacent to Mumbai, towing crew lifted a roadside vehicle leading to a vicious attack by two culprits.

In Mumbra, close to Mumbai, police have apprehended two individuals accused of attacking towing staff, stripping them of their arrogance in a public parade. The suspects are identified as Danish Sheikh and Salim Sheikh. Recently, these individuals assaulted traffic personnel over a bike towing incident.

They vandalized the towing vehicle and even attempted to run over the employees' legs with a bike, and tried attacking with a chopper. Police took the attempt on the towing staff's lives seriously.

The culprits fled after the incident

Post-incident, the perpetrators were on the run, but the Mumbra police nabbed them in Matheran. Thereafter, the detained Danis and Salim Sheikh were paraded at the crime scene by Mumbra Police.

The public commends the police action

The objective was to eradicate public fear caused by the offenders and send a message that the police will not spare those committing crimes. The public saw the suspects paraded and lauded the police, asserting it was the right move. It surely would make one think tenfold before conducting such attacks.

Criminal charges filed against the accused

Senior PI Gyaneshwar Sable from Mumbra Police Station indicated Danish Sheikh is already implicated in 6 cases and legal actions are underway. Police have booked both accused under several sections including 353, 341, 323, 504, 506 (2), 183, 189, 120 (B), 427, 34 of the Arms Act 4, 25 Mumbai Police Act 37(1) 135, and began the manhunt shortly after the incident.
