Amit Malviya, head of BJP's IT cell, claimed on social media about a clash between TMC leaders Kalyan Banerjee and Kirti Azad. According to Malviya, the disagreement stemmed from a proposal by Kirti Azad to open a 'Sandesh' sweet shop outlet in Parliament, which was subsequently blocked by Kalyan Banerjee.

Sources close to Kalyan Banerjee indicated that he discovered an application prepared by Kirti Azad, signed by some female MPs, which advocated for the opening of the sweet shop. This prompted Banerjee to oppose the move.

On April 4th, a plan by Kalyan Banerjee to submit a memorandum with the signatures of seven to eight TMC MPs was halted when a female MP discovered her signature was missing, sparking further controversy.

According to TMC sources, both Kalyan Banerjee and the female MP involved are displeased with each other. The female MP has even written a letter to Mamata Banerjee voicing her complaint.

Amit Malviya shared WhatsApp chats, purportedly containing exchanges between Kalyan Banerjee and Kirti Azad. The chat begins with a message from Banerjee, stating, 'I've reached Kolkata. You can send your BSF and Delhi Police to arrest me. Your connections with the Home Ministry and the International Great Lady run deep. Congratulations to the gentleman who exposed her luxurious activities.'

The reply from Kirti Azad’s handle reads, 'Calm down, Kalyan. Don't behave childishly. Didi trusts you and has entrusted you with upholding unity. Relax and have a good night's sleep.'
