Once again, a terrorist attack has struck Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir. Terrorists ambushed a CRPF patrolling team, resulting in the martyrdom of one CRPF soldier.
It is reported that the CRPF and police team was out on patrol when the terrorists attacked. The soldier was leading the team, and the ambush led to his martyrdom.

The post was situated about eight kilometers away from a police post in Udhampur's Dudu area. This post was being established as part of new anti-terrorism measures in Jammu's hilly regions. Given past attacks, the government had ordered increased patrolling and tighter monitoring in these areas.

Solders Surround Area, Search for Terrorists
Reportedly, the attack occurred at 3:30 AM when the CRPF and police team was out on a patrol. CRPF Inspector Kuldeep Kumar was martyred in this attack. Udhampur has seen an increase in terrorist activities, posing a severe concern for the Jammu region.
In response to these attacks, security forces, including the CRPF and local police, have intensified search operations across Udhampur and nearby areas to locate and neutralize the terrorists. Soldiers have surrounded the area and are actively searching for the terrorists, believed to be hiding nearby.

Increase in Terrorist Attacks in Jammu
There has been a noticeable increase in terrorist activities in the Jammu region in recent months. In July, an encounter in Doda district led to the deaths of four military personnel, including an officer, and a police officer. A splinter group of the Pakistan-backed terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), named 'Kashmir Tigers,' claimed responsibility for this attack.

On July 8th, a terrorist ambush on an army convoy in the rugged hilly areas of Kathua district resulted in the martyrdom of five army personnel, including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO). Several more were wounded. Additionally, on July 6th, security forces killed six terrorists in two separate encounters in Kulgam district. Tragically, two soldiers lost their lives during these encounters.
