The internal discord within Lalu Prasad Yadav's family is intensifying. Following the controversial statements and departure of Rohini Acharya, three more sisters - Ragini, Chanda, and Rajlakshmi - have left Patna for Delhi with their children. This indicates the dispute is not only political but has taken a serious familial turn.
RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav's daughter, Rohini Acharya, recently announced her decision to cut ties with the family and leave politics. She accused her brother Tejashwi Yadav and his close associates - Sanjay Yadav and Rami - of disrespect and attempted physical assault.

In an emotional post, Rohini wrote that she was "uprooted from her parental home" and made "an orphan." She stated that her dignity was hurt and she was punished for speaking the truth. A surgery specialist and doctor, Rohini had limited political engagement and was an RJD candidate from Saran in the last general elections.
Tejashwi's Close Associates Under Fire
Particularly targeted by Rohini are Tejashwi's two close aides - Sanjay Yadav (RJD MP) and Rami, a member of Tejashwi's core team. Both have remained publicly silent on the controversy. Rohini claims questioning these names, despite RJD's electoral defeat, is considered "a crime within the family."
Chirag Paswan's Bold Statement
Chirag Paswan also reacted to the dispute, expressing understanding of the Lalu family's pain. He said political differences are separate, but "Lalu Ji's family is my family too." He shared his own experiences of internal family tensions that once broke him.

Chirag Paswan stated, "I can empathize with how painful it is for a daughter to feel dishonored in her own home. A daughter has as much right to her parental home as a son. I pray for unity in Lalu Ji’s family."
Amidst questions raised by RJD's crushing electoral defeat, this family dispute poses another challenge for the party. The departure of four daughters from their Patna residence is seen as a significant signal within the RJD camp.
