Allegedly, two and a half months ago, the victim was returning from work in the fields when Raju, a local, told her that Moeed Khan, the bakery owner, was calling her.
Moeed allegedly raped her while Raju recorded the act. Then Raju also raped her, blackmailing her for a long time based on the video. The matter came to light when she was two months pregnant.

Action Taken After Hindu Organizations' Outrage
The victim's family filed a complaint with the police, but no action was initially taken. Later, when Hindu organizations and Nishad Party members expressed anger, the police arrested SP's Bhadrasa Nagar President Moeed Khan and his bakery worker Raju. The victim's mother said that at first, the police suggested dropping a name from their complaint. However, after SP involved, their case was registered. They demand the death penalty for the accused.

Victim's mother met with CM Yogi Adityanath last Friday in Lucknow. During the meeting, CM assured strict action against SP leader Moeed Khan and other accused. Since then, the police have also taken action against the police station in charge and inquired into the accused's property.
