Bihar is witnessing a whirlwind of political activity as the Lok Sabha elections draw near, especially in Purnia, where Congress and RJD are head-to-head. Pappu Yadav, recently inducted into Congress, is set to file his nomination from Purnia. On the other side, RJD's candidate Bima Bharti filed her nomination on Wednesday, with Tejashwi Yadav in attendance. Without naming Pappu Yadav, Tejashwi stated, 'Those who stand against us side with the BJP.'
When the media inquired about Pappu Yadav, Tejashwi commented, 'Those running against us are with the BJP. We aren’t naming anyone. Let it be up to the public. Those not with us are with the BJP... I am aware of our candidate. How would I know who’s doing what and from where? We'll focus on our party and our coalition. Aren't there leaders in our party?'

Targeting the BJP
Targeting the BJP and JD(U), Tejashwi pointed out, 'For 17 years, there’s been a BJP and JD(U) government here, and BJP has been in the center for 10 years. If we talk about the Purnia assembly, a BJP candidate has been elected seven times, yet no significant development has occurred. Despite consistent strong support for the BJP, Purnia still doesn’t have the promised airport. Even during the 2014 campaign, the Prime Minister had announced its development.'
He added, 'Amit Shah Ji seems uninformed. Last time he visited Purnia, he claimed the airport was operational. We tried to book tickets only to find out it wasn't. Why do BJP people perpetuate falsehoods? This election is focused on local issues, and the public firmly stands with RJD.'

Listing the Coalition Government's Achievements
While discussing the achievements of the JD(U)-RJD coalition government, Tejashwi mentioned, 'Bihar saw the provision of five lakh jobs within 17 months, a record owing to our commitment. Caste-based enumeration occurred when we came into power. Who accorded the status of government employees to over four lakh contract teachers? This and many other accomplishments happened during our tenure.' Taking a jab at BJP's allegations of nepotism, he claimed that the NDA is actually promoting nepotism by giving more tickets to political families.
