The police courageously intervened, putting their lives at risk to rescue the stranded individuals.
Thousands of devotees had gathered at the Subramaniya Swami Temple in Pasilikudai, Thirupur, to celebrate the Adi Perukku festival. The giant Ferris wheel became a central attraction for the crowd. Devotees celebrate Adi Perukku in honor of Lord Murugan by carrying a kavadi and piercing their bodies with a Vel.
The Ferris Wheel Suddenly Tilted
During the festival, various entertainment rides and other leisure events are organized, including this giant Ferris wheel. While people were enjoying the ride, it suddenly malfunctioned midway and began to tilt to the left. Panic spread among those seated in the joyride bucket.
The police, already stationed for security, immediately swung into action. They swiftly stopped the machine and carefully climbed the wheel to rescue each individual, saving lives and averting a major disaster.
