Following an alleged incident of misconduct at the CM residence, AAP MP Swati Maliwal has officially submitted a written complaint. A Delhi Police team visited her home on Thursday. The team spent approximately 4 hours on site. According to sources, Delhi Police have recorded Swati Maliwal's statement.

Swati Maliwal stated, 'What happened to me was terrible. I have given my statement to the police regarding the event. I hope that appropriate action will be taken. The last few days have been very difficult for me. I am grateful to those who prayed for me. To those who attempted character assassination and suggested I'm acting on another party's directive, may God keep them happy too,' she added, urging BJP members not to politicize the incident.

Meanwhile, as per Delhi Police sources, Swati Maliwal detailed the sequence of events that unfolded on Monday (13th May) and explained the circumstances under which she made a PCR call, all of which are being taken as the basis for legal action.

After her statement, the police might also register an FIR in the case, with Swati Maliwal having delivered her statement in front of Special Cell's Additional CP Pramod Kushwaha and Additional DCP North Anjita.

What's the Issue?

On 13th May, police sources claimed to have received a PCR call from the CM house. The caller said, 'I am at the CM's house right now. They have made me suffer at the hands of his PA Vibhav Kumar.' Following the call, Maliwal reached the Civil Lines police station on Monday morning but did not file a written complaint at the time, leaving without doing so.

Even after the alleged mistreatment came to light, no official statement was given by Maliwal. However, AAP MP Sanjay Singh acknowledged the ill-treatment towards Swati Maliwal.

In a press conference, Sanjay Singh said, 'An appalling incident occurred. Swati Maliwal went to meet Arvind Kejriwal at his residence. While waiting for him in the drawing room, Vibhav Kumar allegedly misbehaved with her. The CM has taken note of the matter and will ensure appropriate action.'

Later on Wednesday, Sanjay Singh and DCW member Vandana visited Swati Maliwal at her residence. Following this on Thursday, the National Commission for Women (NCW) sent a notice to Vibhav Kumar, summoning him for questioning on 17th May.
