The allegations of assault against Swati Maliwal, the Aam Aadmi Party's Member of Parliament, at the Chief Minister's House are intensifying. Vibhav Kumar, a close associate of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, is accused of assaulting Maliwal. The National Commission for Women has already summoned him. Meanwhile, women leaders are progressively rallying in support of Maliwal.

When asked about the incident, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi stated, 'I haven't seen much as I'm currently in UP. But I will always speak out in favor of a woman if oppression occurs. I will stand in support of the woman. How can BJP leaders speak on this issue? They did nothing about Hathras or the Unnao case. BJP didn't act on our female wrestler's issue either.

Priyanka added, 'If something wrong truly happened, I am with that woman. If Swati Maliwal wishes to talk to me, I will talk. I hope Kejriwal Ji will take appropriate action if he is aware of this matter. I hope Kejriwal Ji finds a solution acceptable to Swati Maliwal. I have always spoken against any type of oppression on women. Whatever action needs to be taken on this matter, should be taken.'

Mayawati, president of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), commented that in matters of women's safety, dignity, and oppression, no double standards should be adopted by any party or coalition. They should learn from the leadership of the BSP.

BJP leader Shazia Ilmi remarked, '32 hours after the incident, Sanjay Ji said that action would be taken. Has this been taken into consideration? Instead of an FIR or arrest of Vibhav, he is seen roaming with Sultan Kejriwal Ji and playing his PA role well. Kejriwal has not uttered a word about this incident. Maliwal was manhandled, yet silence persists. These people will talk about everything under the sun but won’t speak a word on this.'

What are the allegations against Vibhav Kumar?

Swati Maliwal from the Aam Aadmi Party in the Rajya Sabha has accused Vibhav Kumar, close to CM Kejriwal, of assault at the CM residence. AAP leader Sanjay Singh later revealed that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has taken cognizance of the incident with Maliwal and will take strict action in the matter.

Sanjay Singh explained that Swati Maliwal came to meet CM Kejriwal on Monday. She was waiting in the drawing-room when Vibhav Kumar arrived and misbehaved with her.

Previously on Monday, Delhi Police reported that Swati Maliwal had visited the Civil Lines police station and accused a member of Chief Minister Kejriwal's personal staff of assault at the CM house. However, Maliwal has not yet filed a written complaint. The police say the investigation will proceed only after a formal complaint is made.
