Name: Unknown, Age: 28-30, Address: Unknown, Charged with: Blast at Rameshwaram Cafe. This man is the prime suspect in the Rameshwaram cafe blast in Bengaluru. Known only by his cap and backpack, his brisk walk is his calling card. Beyond these details, his identity remains a mystery. He's the one who planted a bomb in the cafe's washbasin and left the scene prior to the explosion.

On Friday at 11:30 am, this figure entered the Rameshwaram cafe. At 11:38 am, he ordered Rava Idli. He then went to the washbasin, supposedly to wash his hands, by which time it was 11:44 am. Leaving a bomb behind, he swiftly exited. At 11:45 am, he was outside, and at 12:56 pm the cafe was rocked by a powerful blast. CCTV footage captured images of this cap-wearing man, who had a mask on his face and rava idli in hand within the cafe.

The blast occurred outside Rameshwaram cafe. Because the bomb was placed externally, the damage was minimized. Where could this suspect have fled after the explosion? Security forces including NIA, NSG, and Karnataka Police are reviewing CCTV footage from around the Rameshwaram cafe and public transport networks in search of clues. The Karnataka Transport Minister mentioned that CCTV footage from buses is being scrutinized, which might reveal the suspect's escape route.

In the aftermath of the blast, IED use has been confirmed. Yet many questions remain: where did the IED come from, is there a larger conspiracy in play, or involvement from a terrorist organization? Even as these chilling questions linger, the suspect's whereabouts post-incident remain unknown. In such a high-tech city, where could he be hiding?

While answers to these questions are awaited, the Karnataka Home Minister has neither confirmed nor denied a terrorist conspiracy. A similar blast occurred in Mangaluru in 2022 with suspected ISI involvement. The agencies do not want to overlook any angles in the investigation of the Rameshwaram cafe blast. They are diligently trying to connect the dots. This is why central investigative agencies NIA and NSG are involved with the state police in this thorough investigation.

It is worth mentioning that Rameshwaram cafe is a renowned restaurant in Bangalore. Ten people were injured in the blast. The explosion filled the cafe with smoke, prompting patrons to run for safety. Initially, there was speculation of a cylinder blast, but as police and NIA teams arrived, the focus shifted. The entire cafe has been sealed and forensic investigations are underway. The NSG team searched the entire cafe and bomb squad teams conducted their inspection. During the search, a battery and a timer used in the explosion were recovered. A dog squad from Chennai has also been called in to investigate. Karnataka's Home Minister G Parameshwara said that police have information that the suspect had arrived at the scene using the BMTC bus service. Several teams have been formed, and evidence has been collected from CCTV footage.
