On Tuesday afternoon, a terrorist attack took place in the picturesque Baisaran Valley of Pahalgam, located in South Kashmir's Anantnag district. The attackers targeted tourists, and at approximately 2:45 PM, six terrorists arrived and unleashed violence in different areas. They opened fire on a group of 45 tourists, resulting in the loss of 26 lives.

The former Indian cricketer, now commentator, Suresh Raina shared his reaction to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir. In his post, Raina wrote: "My heart is deeply pained by today's terrorist attack on Pahalgam in Kashmir. I strongly condemn this cowardly act by Pakistan-backed terrorists. India stands united against terrorism with its brave military, Jammu & Kashmir Police, and paramilitary forces. Justice will be served."

Suresh Raina was born on November 27, 1986, in Muradnagar, Uttar Pradesh, into a Kashmiri Pandit family. His family's roots trace back to Rainawari in the capital city of Jammu & Kashmir, Srinagar. Hence, Raina's surname originates from Rainawari. Around 1990, during the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from Kashmir, Raina's family migrated to Muradnagar. His father, Trilokchand Raina, was associated with the army and worked in an ordnance factory. His mother, Parvesh Raina, is a homemaker. Although Suresh Raina was born in Uttar Pradesh, his family's deep roots lie in Kashmir.
