Jitendra Narayan Tyagi, also known as Wasim Rizvi, accused of making provocative statements in the Uttarakhand Dharm Sansad, faces a setback in the Supreme Court. The court dismissed his plea to cancel the FIR filed against him.

Supreme Court Refuses to Quash FIRs

The court denied the order to nullify three FIRs lodged against Tyagi, saying the matters are serious and originate from Uttarakhand. The petitioner has the option to approach the Uttarakhand High Court to file an application there.

Allegations of Offensive Speech Against Islam and Prophet

Indeed, Jitendra Narayan Tyagi, alias Wasim Rizvi, was accused of delivering offensive speeches against Islam and the Prophet during the Dharm Sansad held in Haridwar. The complainant alleged that between December 17 and 19, 2021, inflammatory speeches against Muslim beliefs and the Prophet were made under the guise of the religious assembly organized by sages and saints in Haridwar.

Uttarakhand High Court Denied Bail

The Uttarakhand High Court refused to grant bail to Wasim Rizvi aka Jitendra Narayan Tyagi, accused of hate speech in the Dharm Sansad. Following this decision, Rizvi appealed to the Supreme Court.
