Witnessing the onslaught by Head-Abhishek, a dumbstruck Rahul said post-match, "I'm at a loss for words. We've seen such batting on TV, but experiencing it live was surreal. Their dedicated practice to six-hitting skills was evident, as they left us clueless about the pitch conditions in the second inning. It was a herculean task to contain their aggression right from the first ball."
Rahul further expressed, "When you begin to lose, the decisions you took come under scrutiny. We were short by 40-50 runs. Our powerplay wicket losses meant no momentum in run-rate. Ayush and Nikki (Nicholas Pooran) did well to steer us to 166. But even if we scored 240, they seemed poised to chase it down."
Eventually, Sunrisers Hyderabad, against Lucknow Super Giants, achieved the 166-run target with 9.4 overs and 62 balls to spare, marking the largest margin of victory in T20 cricket whilst chasing a target over 150. This surpassed the previous record set by Brisbane Heat in the 2018-19 BBL when they chased 157 runs with 60 balls remaining against Melbourne Stars.
