During his visit to Sultanpur Court on July 26, Rahul Gandhi made an impromptu stop at Ramchait's shop. He took up the tools and personally repaired a slipper and a shoe. Ramchait is Not Ready to Sell the Slipper

Ramchait revealed that a few days ago, a person called from Prayagraj, offering five lakh rupees for the slipper stitched by Rahul Gandhi. Ramchait declined the offer. Another individual had even offered a bag full of money for the slipper, but he turned that down as well.

He plans to encase the slipper in glass and keep it as a cherished memory because it has brought a significant change in his life. People now recognize him. During the conversation, Ramchait even showed the slipper repaired by Rahul Gandhi.

Recently, Rahul Gandhi had sent a shoe-stitching machine to the shop where he had visited. The Congress party shared in a post, "On July 26, Rahul Gandhi met Ramchait, the cobbler, in Sultanpur (UP).
