In the Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, officers from Ayodhya's Kumaraganj police station faced a sudden attack. On Thursday morning, a police team had entered Lala Ka Purva, Majra Dobhiyara village in the Haliyapur area for enforcement action. During this, fugitive Dashrath Singh and his family severely assaulted Sub-Inspector Aqeel Hussain, Sub-Inspector Bhanu Pratap Shahi, and Constable Umesh Gautam.
The attackers allegedly seized the service revolver and phone of Sub-Inspector Aqeel Hussain and fled the scene. The police team was in plain clothes to apprehend Dashrath Singh, wanted in a case of attempted murder.

After the incident, a search for the attackers began, but they remain at large. According to CO Baldeeray Ashutosh Kumar, the hunt for the accused continues. Sub-Inspector Bhanu Pratap Shahi has filed a report against five named and four unknown individuals at the Haliyapur station, on whose basis a case has been registered.
Two women from Dashrath's household have been taken into custody for questioning. The police from Kumaraganj, Inayatnagar, Haliyapur, and Baldeeray stations are conducting a joint operation to locate the attackers.

This attack is connected to an ongoing case of attempted murder. According to Rahul Mishra's complaint, on 14th November at 10 AM, he went to Dobhiyara village for labor, where his friend Avneesh Tiwari had an altercation over labor with Subhash alias Anshuman. Despite Rahul's intervention, around 8:30 PM the same day, Subhash alias Anshuman and his associate Adarsh Singh attacked Rahul on a Bullet motorcycle with intent to kill. Rahul narrowly escaped the assault. Witnesses Ashish and Shivpujan were present. The Kumaraganj police had reached Dobhiyara to arrest the fugitive Subhash alias Anshuman in relation to this attempted murder when they were attacked.
Following the incident, police from multiple stations are actively searching for the assailants. Charges including obstruction of government work, assault, and weapon theft have been filed against the fugitive and his family, initiating further legal procedures.
