The death of Inspector Arun Kumar Rai at Jalaun's Kuthaund police station has taken a shocking turn. Initially treated as a suicide after his body was discovered covered in blood at the police station's official residence, new CCTV footage and family allegations have reshaped the narrative. The police are exploring angles of murder, suicide, or conspiracy in this case.
Inspector Arun Kumar Rai was discovered in a blood-soaked condition at his official residence. It was reported that he was shot with his service revolver. A woman police officer reported the incident. The staff found the inspector severely injured in the room. He was rushed to the medical college, where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
Presently, the role of the woman police officer is under suspicion. Police officials are investigating all aspects. A case has been filed against the female constable Meenakshi Sharma, following the family's complaint, and action has been set in motion.

This entire episode occurred at Jalaun's Kuthaund police station, where Station House Officer Arun Kumar Rai allegedly fired a bullet from his service revolver. The shot passed right through his temple. Severely wounded, he was taken to the medical college, where doctors declared him dead. The inspector's family was informed of the situation.

The footage shows the presence of a woman, later identified as Constable Meenakshi. This opened a new angle in Inspector Arun Kumar Rai's death. Constable Meenakshi, who informed the police about the event, does not belong to the stationed personnel of that police station.
SP Durgesh Kumar states that the female officer seen in the CCTV footage provided information about the incident. Although she was not stationed at the police post, every aspect of the case is being scrutinized. Meticulous examination of CCTV, post-mortem, and forensic evidence is underway. The investigation into the woman's suspicious role continues.
The family of the deceased Inspector Arun Kumar Rai accused Lady Constable Meenakshi Sharma of murder and presented a complaint to SP Dr. Durgesh Kumar. As a result, a case was registered against the lady constable, and efforts to apprehend her have begun.
Following a post-mortem conducted at the Government Medical College, the inspector's body was transported to Orai's police line. A wave of mourning swept through the family and the police department. A guard of honor was given to the deceased inspector, attended by the District Magistrate and SP among other public representatives, to bid him farewell. The late Inspector Arun Kumar Rai hailed from Sant Kabir Nagar district and was serving as the officer in charge at Jalaun's Kuthaund police station.
