Amid worsening traffic scenarios in Prayagraj and surrounding districts, STF Chief and ADG Law and Order Amitabh Yash have been dispatched to the scene. Arriving in Prayagraj via a special flight, Amitabh Yash is currently assessing the situation and providing necessary directions to officials.

It's noteworthy that while the traffic jams seem to have spiraled out of control in Prayagraj, the Mahakumbh Mela area is witnessing a massive influx of crowds. Pilgrims are forced to walk several kilometers just to reach the ghats. This has led to growing frustration among people concerning the arrangements. In the midst of this, senior officials from Lucknow have been ordered to oversee the Kumbh area.

According to ADC Traffic Kuldeep Singh, the immense number of vehicles is driving the traffic jams as travelers aim to get as close as possible. This increase in volume necessitates the implementation of arrangements reminiscent of the Mouni Amavasya setup.

Kuldeep Singh points out that the current crowd size nearly mirrors that of Mouni Amavasya Day. During the Amavasya, parking spots closer to the venue filled up first, followed by those further away.

Meanwhile, leader of the Samajwadi Party, Akhilesh Yadav, took to 'X' to post a video about the jam-packed conditions during the Prayagraj Mahakumbh. He urged for immediate emergency arrangements for the stranded millions of devotees. He stressed that the plight of the starving, exhausted pilgrims stuck in endless traffic warrants a humanitarian approach. Akhilesh Yadav has called on the government to establish emergency measures for these stranded pilgrims.
