Pandit Dhirendra Shastri then told the audience, 'As Devi Chitralekha Ji pointed out, much Haldi was applied, and much laughter ensued with the tearing of kurtas. The first kurta torn was indeed that of Devi Ji's husband, followed by my brother’s. Yesterday was truly a day of joyful kurta tearing. Even Maharaj Ji from Badrinath had a great time.'
