The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin, has shown support for Uddhav and Raj Thackeray. He stated that the fight against the imposition of Hindi, championed by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and its people for generations, has now transcended state boundaries, taking shape as a powerful protest in Maharashtra.
In a post on X, Stalin mentioned that the BJP insists on Hindi being taught as a third language in Tamil Nadu, a condition tied to central government funding. For the second time, due to public outrage in Maharashtra, where their government is in power, the BJP has stepped back.
Stalin expressed enthusiasm about the inspiring speeches and mass mobilization at the 'Victory Rally' in Mumbai led by Uddhav Thackeray against Hindi imposition. He remarked that the central government, which focuses solely on promoting Hindi and Sanskrit, cannot answer two incisive questions posed by Raj Thackeray.
First -
What is taught as the third language in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan?
Second -
When Hindi-speaking states are underdeveloped, why is Hindi being imposed on progressive non-Hindi-speaking states?
CM Stalin Questions the Center
CM Stalin questioned whether the central government would reconsider withholding 2,152 crore rupees in funding for the education of Tamil Nadu's children under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan as a punitive measure. Will it immediately release this amount, which is Tamil Nadu's rightful claim?
'The Raised Voice in Maharashtra is an Eye-Opener'
The Tamil Nadu CM remarked that the state's struggle is not just emotional, but intellectual and logical, aimed at preserving India's cultural diversity. It is driven by a sense of rights and dignity, not hatred. Those who, without understanding history, urge 'Learn Hindi, get a job' must change their stance. This voice from Maharashtra serves as a compelling revelation for them.
BJP Must Atone: Stalin
Stalin insisted that Tamil language neglect and discriminatory behavior, including the disregard for civilizations like Keeladi, will be tolerated no longer. The BJP must atone for the betrayal against Tamil and Tamil Nadu. Failing which, Tamil Nadu will once again teach a lesson that won't be forgotten. Let's unite. Tamil Nadu will fight, Tamil Nadu will win.
