In light of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav has made a significant statement. He has clarified that there is no longer an alliance between the Samajwadi Party and Pallavi Patel's Apna Dal (Kamerawadi). The coalition only existed until the 2022 elections, and there will be none in 2024. Many of SP's former allies have already left the fold.
It's notable that one after another, Akhilesh Yadav's former partners are leaving or cutting ties with him. Om Prakash Rajbhar was the first to distance himself shortly after the 2022 elections and eventually ended his alliance.
Just a few weeks ago, RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary also terminated his alliance with the SP and aligned with BJP, and today, Akhilesh Yadav himself has announced the end of the alliance with Pallavi Patel's Apna Dal (Kamerawadi).
Leader of the Mahan Dal, Keshav Dev Maurya, is also reported to be disillusioned with Akhilesh Yadav. Thus, apart from Congress, SP currently appears to have no alliances for 2024.

It is worth noting that whether parties or individual leaders, all have gradually distanced themselves from Akhilesh Yadav. Before the 2022 elections, the OBC leaders who had rallied for Akhilesh Yadav have also parted ways. Allies like Om Prakash Rajbhar's SBSP, Jayant's RLD, and Pallavi Patel's Apna Dal (Kamerawadi) have also separated.
Pallavi Patel Announces Candidates, SP Retaliates Strongly
Recently, for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Apna Dal (Kamerawadi) announced it would contest from three seats in UP. They decided to run in the Mirzapur, Phulpur, and Kaushambi. However, SP and Congress, part of the same coalition, claimed that there had been no discussion on the matter.
This proclamation led to tensions increasing between SP and Apna Dal (Kamerawadi). Shortly after Apna Dal's claim to the Mirzapur Lok Sabha seat, SP also declared its candidate for the same seat. The Samajwadi Party has nominated Rajendra S Bind as their candidate for Mirzapur.
