On Tuesday, Congress unveiled their eagerly awaited second roster of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal announced the endorsement of the list, featuring nearly 43 candidates hailing from Assam, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan, among other states. The assortment includes 10 General category contenders, 13 OBC, 10 SC, 9 ST, and one Muslim candidate, highlighting the party's diversity aim.

Among the nominees, three hold a legacy of considerable political influence, being the sons of former Chief Ministers. Nakul Nath, son of Madhya Pradesh's former CM Kamal Nath, has once again secured a ticket from Chhindwara—a stronghold known as the Congress bastion.
