On Monday, the police commenced their mission of transporting Sonam Raghuvanshi, the prime suspect in the notorious murder case of Raja Raghuvanshi from Indore, to Shillong on transit remand. Beginning this journey in Ghazipur, they escorted Sonam in vehicle number BR 01PR6242 to Buxar district in Bihar, under Bihar police surveillance. Despite the tiresome overnight ride, Sonam neither ate nor engaged in any discussions with the Shillong police. When queried about her needs, she complained of a headache, refraining from consuming food and opting not to sleep.
Crossing the UP-Bihar border, the convoy made a brief halt at Adarsh Nagar police station in Buxar for about 15 minutes. Although arriving at Buxar at 2 AM, an impasse due to unsatisfied security conditions halted the passage until an escort facilitated their move toward Patna.
At dawn, in the Fulwari Sharif police station compound of Patna, a sizable convoy of Meghalaya police vehicles paused. Here, Sonam was led outside. After freshening up, she swapped her black attire from the previous day for a white ensemble, yet keeping her face veiled.

Sources reveal that Sonam is set to board the 3:55 PM flight from Patna, heading to Kolkata with subsequent stops in Guwahati and Shillong. Accompanying her will be Meghalaya police officials Shida M.S. Kharsati, Rosa M. Khongsit, Silte D. Shira, and P.D. Sonar on this aerial journey.
Sonam's story began early Monday at the Kashi Dhaba in Ghazipur, where she was discovered by authorities. The Meghalaya police assert that she conspired with her lover Raj Kushwaha and three hired hitmen, Akash Rajput, Anand Kurmi, and Vishal Chauhan, to murder her husband Raja. His lifeless body was recovered on June 2nd, near the Wei Sawdong waterfall in Shillong. Now, Shillong police are prepared to unravel every detail of this intricate conspiracy through an intense interrogation of Sonam.
