Skoda Kylaq Price Cut:
Skoda India recently launched its most budget-friendly vehicle, the Skoda Kylaq, capturing attention in the domestic market. This economical sub-four-meter compact SUV quickly gained popularity among customers, significantly contributing to more than half of the company’s total sales by March. Skoda has now slashed prices on certain variants, reflecting a substantial overhaul.
Initially launched at an introductory price of 7.89 lakh rupees, the base price for the entry-level model Classic has now increased to 8.25 lakh rupees. Although this means a rise of approximately 36,000 rupees, the Signature Plus and Prestige models have seen a remarkable price reduction.

Additionally, the Prestige automatic variant's price has been reduced by 41,000 rupees, now beginning at 13.99 lakh rupees.
The Skoda Kylaq's debut reshaped the company’s image. In March, Skoda sold 5,327 units of this model alone, significantly impacting the total sale of 7,422 units, a first for Skoda in the Indian market. Achieving over 7,000 monthly sales in India marks a milestone in Skoda India's 24-year history.

This new compact SUV rests on the MQB A0-IN platform, forming the backbone for both Skoda and Volkswagen. The same platform is utilized for Kushaq and Slavia, featuring split headlamps, squared-off tail lights, and a signature butterfly front grille, complete with LED projector headlamps at the base.
Skoda offers the Kylaq with only one engine option, a 1.0-liter TSI turbo-petrol engine producing 115 PS of power and 178 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual or torque converter automatic transmission. Skoda asserts that the Kylaq reaches 0-100 km/h in just 10.5 seconds, making it one of the fastest compact SUVs in its segment.

It features a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a sunroof (single-pane), keyless entry, wireless phone charger, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, front seat ventilation, and leatherette upholstery.
Recently, the compact SUV underwent a crash test by Bharat NCAP, earning a 5-star rating. It comes equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, electronic differential lock, and ISOFIX child seat mounts, establishing it as a secure choice for families.
